A family of jackals I have been following for a few years.
I took every opportunity to visit the den, even without my camera, day and night until the perfect opportunity and the moment arose when we were sync. It is really difficult to put into words this moment, when against all the laws of evolution the predator trusted me.
One of the most incredible experiences I had was when the female gave me a look as if to say: “I trust you, be my baby sitter while I run out and get some food”. And so she did! She left me alone with her litter of eight pups. What a tremendous satisfaction it is to catch such moments on film.
This photographic process requires long-term commitment, many years of studying the instincts of the animal and to develop the skills to blend in with the territory.
